One of the most common threads running through the stories of many homeless people is a catastrophic breakdown of healthy relationships. We want to step up and be "actively available" to folks who may have no one else to trust. Our street chaplains are ministers of the Gospel, and that means the reconciled relationships are possible: with God, self, others, and creation.
Getting into a vehicle is one the quickest, cheapest, most qualitative change a person who is living on the street can experience. We help individuals acquire a vehicle they can live in, legally, safely, and permanently. But the vehicle isn't the end of the relationship, its the catalyst for ongoing change.
