Supplement your faith with Virtue...
God has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature.
For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue (arete), and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

The name "Arete House" comes from the Greek word for "virtue," the excellence that is required for a human life to truly flourish. We are a Christian Discipleship program based on the fundamental idea this is what salvation is: a life being transformed into the image of the one who is truly human, Jesus Christ our Lord (Eph 4.13).

Areté House is designed for those who are ready to step into long-term transformation through Christ-centered, Spirit-filled community, cultivation, and education.

We are focused on helping you grow spiritually, intellectually, and practically — building strong foundations for lasting change through mentorship and Christian discipleship.
​
This curriculum will include focused study on Spiritual growth, financial literacy, vocational skills, and practical wisdom.

Participants will be expected to work outside of the program, and volunteer as required by the program.
Arete House is not:
- Sober living
- Drug/Alcohol rehab
- Cheap housing
- Christian "frat-house"
- Homeless shelter
- For the half-hearted
Arete House is for Christian men who have:
- A commitment to Christ as both Lord and Savior
- A desire to grow into Christ-like virtue and live in freedom from "the sin that entangles"
- A willingness to live in intentional and essential community with other like-minded brothers

- Interview with program leads to determine suitability
- $650 a month for program fees. Participation in the program includes accommodation for the duration of the program.​
